This page explains what this website is and is not. It applies to every page on eghbalilawfirm.com, including the guides, the county and city pages, the statistics pages and the three public-records trackers.
Attorney Advertising
This website is a communication by Eghbali Law Firm, a California law firm, and is attorney advertising under rules 7.1 through 7.3 of the California Rules of Professional Conduct and Business and Professions Code sections 6157 through 6159.2. The attorney responsible for its content is Benjamin Eghbali, Esq., Eghbali Law Firm, 4550 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 201, Los Angeles, CA 90010. Our attorneys are licensed to practice in California. We do not seek to represent anyone based on this website in a state where it would not comply with that state's rules.
No Attorney-Client Relationship Until We Agree in Writing
Reading this website, calling us, emailing us or sending the free case review form does not make you a client of the firm and does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship begins only when you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement. Until then, the firm has not agreed to represent you and is not tracking any deadline for you, so keep looking for a lawyer if you have not heard back. What you tell us while you are deciding whether to hire us is kept confidential, and California law protects communications made while you are consulting a lawyer about possible representation.
General Information, Not Legal Advice
The guides, articles, statistics pages, county and city pages and tracker pages on this site are general information about California and federal employment law. They are not legal advice about your situation, and they cannot replace a conversation with a lawyer who knows your facts. Laws, wage rates and local ordinances change, and each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. Deadlines in employment cases are strict and some are short. Do not rely on a page to tell you how long you have; ask a lawyer promptly.
No Guarantee of Results
Every case depends on its own facts, evidence, witnesses and the court or agency that decides it. Nothing on this site promises or predicts an outcome. Where this site describes a result, it is the result in that matter only, and it does not guarantee or predict a similar result in any other matter.
How to Read the Public-Records Trackers
The layoff tracker, the wage theft tracker and the workplace safety tracker reproduce public records: WARN notices published by the California Employment Development Department, enforcement data published by the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division, and inspection data published by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which includes Cal/OSHA inspections. We group the records by employer and place and standardize names and addresses so they can be searched; the underlying figures are the agencies' own. A notice, a case or an inspection in these records is not a finding by this firm that an employer broke the law. A record may have been contested, modified or closed since the agency published it, and errors in the agencies' files carry through to these pages. If a record about you or your business appears wrong, write to office@eghbalilawfirm.com with the page address and we will check it against the agency's file.
Links, Recognitions and Third-Party Content
Links to government sites, court opinions and other outside pages are provided for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Recognitions shown on this site, such as Super Lawyers, are awarded by the organizations named under their own criteria and are not a guarantee of the quality of legal services.
